Information is abundant and more easily retrieved than ever - but students often misunderstand how to get their information needs met. The first factoids that pop up in a data search are often the tip of the iceberg: to sift through the results and understand the information, students need to approach a search with a spirit of inquiry. Examining issues from various angles, and structuring the search questions, can create different results.
