Upstairs, the Bellamy family negotiated the scandals and successes of the English aristocracy, while downstairs, their loyal staff took a much livelier approach facing the challenges of their own lives. Together, their stories made TV magic. Universally recognized as one of the most successful and important shows in television in history, the landmark series Upstairs Downstairs received 9 Emmys, a Golden Globe and a Peabody, among numerous other awards. Its popular spin-off Thomas & Sarah followed the delightful up-and-down adventures of two former Bellamy employees as they made a go of it on their own in pursuit of extravagant dreams.
